What if you had a chance to seize an opportunity that could change your life forever?!
Become a certified Yoga Teacher and inspiration within your community through this unique 250hr 12-month programme, incorporating key teacher training elements blended with mentoring and self-study.
No Prerequisites. Open to all.
The goal of this training is to produce inspiring Yoga teachers who are able to draw on their own practice and personal discipline in imparting the Yoga experience to others. The training will not be just an academic transferring of techniques; the teachings will be transmitted in such a way that the essence of Yoga can be absorbed into the heart of the student.
For any science to be useful, it must address two aspects: theory and practice. Even the best of theoretical knowledge is insufficient in itself to solve the problems of life. And if knowledge is not put into practice, it only serves the purpose of intellectual entertainment. This teacher training is not content with providing a lofty philosophical understanding of of Yoga; it will also instil clear-cut techniques for implementing its precepts for everyday living.
Teacher training demands a high level of self-discipline, affording a unique opportunity to extend the limits of one’s capabilities, including strength and stamina, with long lasting effects. Yoga teachers should also be Yogic practitioners; with this in mind the course is designed to be intensive, immersing the students in a balanced programme of Yogic theory and practise for all-round physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development.
Teaching Yoga demands a complete mindset of serving others; sharing and respecting the traditions of Yoga with energy, enthusiasm, and joy.
“From the heart, I offer you all of my support, knowledge, and experience so that you can share it with others”
– Greg Angell

Gregory has been practising and studying Yoga for 25 years; teaching full-time for 17 years, taught approximately 7,500 classes; completed 1,700hrs of teacher training; and approximately 30,000hrs of personal practice.
Over 25 years Gregory has combined his exposure to Sivananda Yoga, Anusara Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, and Jivamukti Yoga with his own extensive and intense personal practice.
This ‘melting pot’ of exposure, knowledge, and experiences has produced ‘Bhānumati Yoga’, which is Gregory’s own unique offering. Upon completion of the Teacher Training students will be able to teach a Bhānumati Yoga Class, with confidence, from the heart.
Bhānumati – भानुमती – shining like the Sun.
I was resistant about yoga for a while. I found it quite difficult because my skeletal system was out of balance. I then found Greg Angell! He is the most amazing yoga teacher for many reasons…
His classes are about so much more than yoga postures! He takes time to prepare e.g. plans beautiful music, prepares the room well in advance of class, and shares powerful wisdom and philosophy to make you think about what’s important in life. He will always encourage you to listen to what your body is telling you, not to push yourself, as we are all unique. Every week is different! I now recognise the power of yoga and why it is so important. I love Greg’s classes, my health has improved so much.
Despite the class challenging me, I know it’s a must in my weekly schedule. I would highly recommend Greg’s classes! His standard of class and teaching is a cut above because of the time, effort and dedication he puts into them. Thank you Greg for being an amazing yoga teacher! Namaste!

Dear Gregory,
Throughout the years I’ve been practicing yoga never have I come across a teacher like you. Your powerful presence coupled with the way you guide and suggest, rather than push and judge until I get it right, has been refreshing. It has enabled me to go deeper into my practice, far beyond merely executing a sequence of postures. I feel you embody the truth of your practice in a way that enables you to transmit deep wisdom and energy.
Your classes make me laugh, cry, burst with energy, and always provide food for thought. I have experienced an opening in my body, mind, heart, and soul. Thank you for all the beautiful classes and inspiring me in so many ways (and your choice of music rocks!).

Yoga is relevant and transformational for everybody. It’s a a real concern that people who would make great yoga teachers don’t sign up for the training because they don’t feel they ‘fit’ the mould. And the world is a poorer place because of it. The world doesn’t need more flexible people. What the world needs is more authentic, and by extension imperfect, yoga teachers.
The Grace Of Imperfection – As a by-product of practice, a yoga practitioner might master yoga postures, but yoga is not about mastery of postures. Yoga is about mastering the art of simply being, by relaxing the body, soothing the emotions, and calming the mind.
There is no such thing as a perfect yoga teacher. Let’s celebrate our imperfections and encourage all students to do the same. This course will gift you with presence, mindfulness, compassion, patience and generosity. You will come to see how yoga exists in everything, and that every moment is an opportunity to practise. As a teacher, you will then share this wisdom with others. You will see that there is no finish line in yoga and that your teacher training is only the beginning of a new and exciting journey.
Yoga teacher training is a personal and unique journey. Your shifts, realisations, and experiences will not be the same as anybody else, but one thing’s for sure, you will no longer be the same person after this experience!
If you’re thinking about doing a yoga teacher training course, you may have heard many people say that it’s a life changing and transformative experience, even if you don’t intend to teach yoga. We’re not exaggerating when we say your life will never be the same after this yoga teacher training! It’s not like any other training course where you merely learn a new skill or develop an existing one. You might be surprised when you realise just how yoga teacher training changes you and, as a result, your entire life. Of course, you’ll dramatically improve your yoga practice, but you’ll get much more from it than just skills and knowledge.
We don’t enrol lots of students and are dedicated to small class sizes to offer each of you the best connection with your trainer. You will never be left alone with your text books either because this course has over 180 hours of contact and prioritises personal connection and support.
We will be meeting on 14 dates (0600-2000) which equates to 182 hours of study (not including lunch breaks). Outside of the 14 dates there will be a need for personal practice and study. To get the most out of the course we would suggest a minimum of 5 hours per week.
You are able to miss 2 contact days throughout the course and still graduate. However, we do recommend catching up all missed days on a subsequent course.
