Do you feel tired and overwhelmed at this time of year?
Do you feel you are running on empty and need to recharge your batteries? This grounding Winter workshop will relax and rejuvenate you as we move towards one of the busiest times of the year!
Winter is a time for introspection and reflection, a time that we may feel the need to withdraw; which is correct as we need to conserve our energy. It can also feel challenging for many reasons; the colder weather, less daylight and more darkness, and of course the run up to Christmas. The physical effects we can experience from Winter are usually: sluggishness, fatigue, and sometimes burnout, which is why it is so important to make sure we are looking after ourselves well and carving out time to consciously slow down.
This workshop is about slowing down, creating your own moving meditation, allowing your mind to quieten and become more peaceful helping you relax in order to be able to reflect and go inward. We will explore yoga in a way that connects us deeply with the earth, grounding us through a strong yet slow flow which will eliminate any sluggish feelings within the body, giving us a sense of being more spacious and free, but with our feet firmly rooted to the ground.
Our movement will then transition into stillness, becoming floor based for some restorative postures, breath work and guided meditation to really let the mind and body melt into relaxation.
To keep the wonderful feeling of being grounded and rejuvenated, we will then make a mala bracelet together with agate gemstone beads to take away with you! Agate is known as the stabiliser, helping to bring feelings of stability, grounding and support. Making the bracelet itself is also very meditative, helping you to seal in the energy you have created during the workshop in an item that you can then wear and remember your grounding each time you notice your bracelet. Or you could even gift your grounding bracelet to a friend for Christmas!
This workshop will leave you feeling refreshed, replenished, less sluggish, and feeling like you have both feet rooted to the ground. You now have the ability to move into Winter feeling calm, connected, and with a sense of stability and ease.
