susie’s Bio:
Susie is local to the studio only having to walk a few paces to get here! She loves her students so much you can often find her talking to them after class about her vast knowledge of traditional apothecary remedies, tinctures and all things holistic.
Susie’s passion for yoga started when she was around 11 years old when her Nan (who practises yoga too), bought her a yoga mat after seeing Susie use the family computer to learn some of the basic asanas. As with a lot of teens she forgot about yoga in her adolescent years but struggled latterly in A Levels years with her own wellbeing, which prompted her to find the mat again at college.
Susie says “my speciality lies in women’s health and mental wellbeing as well as working with the cycles in nature to match our own cyclical systems”. Her aim as a teacher is to assist people in finding homes within their bodies, to help them delve deeper in to what their own yoga practice looks like and more importantly feels like, getting back to their roots, living like our ancestors, freeing stuck, stagnant energy and trauma through movement and loving ourselves unconditionally.
She teaches Vinyasa and Beginners Classes with us at the studio, her calming voice and caring nature makes her ideal for these types of classes. She loves nothing better than to help people on their ‘beginners’ journey… giving them all her Yoga wisdom and has now taught over 500 ‘new to yoga’ students.
